FRIEZE LONDON 2026
Booth A02
Huda Lutfi, Nada Elkalaawy, Hana El-Sagini, and Yasmine El Meleegy
14 - 18 October 2026
For its first presentation in Frieze London's Galleries section, Gypsum brings together four Egyptian artists: Huda Lutfi, Nada Elkalaawy, Hana El-Sagini, and Yasmine El Meleegy, who work across collage, oil painting, and sculpture. A dismembered female body is strewn across a domestic room, figures emerge beneath layers of paint, braids are cast in bronze, a mother's dinnerware is replicated and moulded in wax and cement. In their work, each artist relies on the act of making as a means of mourning and preserving memory.
Meet Me in London: Nada Elkalaawy
The artist – exhibiting at Frieze London 2026 – finds fragments of home among London’s diasporic communities and her own family archive.
THE MOUNTAIN CANNOT REPAIR ITSELF
A group show featuring:
Rawan Abbas, Omar Abd Elbaqi, Aisha Azab, Marianne Fahmy, Gözde İlkin, and Layla Tag
6 - 30 October 2026
Textiles have long accompanied people through movement and history, folded, carried, and passed from one generation to another. Their intimacy with the body extends from clothing and protection to comfort, touch, and memory, while the marks of handling, labor, and time become records in themselves. Through stitches and lines, fabric trace terrain, mark boundaries, and mend ruptures. Bringing together works by Marianne Fahmy, Omar Abd El Baqi, Aisha Azab, Gözde İlkin, Rawan Abbas, and Layla Tag, the exhibition explores fabric as a material through which bodies, landscapes, and histories intersect.
